Our 2026 show featured the literary classic by Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451. With 26 performers on the floor, and 18 members in the front ensemble, this was Kannapolis’ biggest season yet!
Scoring an 80.0 In A Class, February 2026, this show led to our eventual promotion to Open Class.
Finishing the season at CWEA Championships with a score of 82.2!

Independent Open in North Carolina
Since our 2026 season, KIP has advanced to Independent Open Class!
With this new classification, our staff works hard to give all students the best musical experience and education each season.
At Kannapolis Independent Percussion, we strongly promote a fun, welcoming environment for all percussionists!
In April of 2025 we made our way to Dayton, Ohio and became second time WGI Finalists and placed 5th in Percussion Independent A.
